Spencer Niekamp proved himself to be one of the most prolific basketball players of his time across the country, culminating a standout career with a 2013 All-American and OAC Player of the Year honor. In his career, Niekamp scored 1,288 points – a mark that sits 13th all-time at Capital. His perfect 11-for-11 performance shooting the ball vs. JCU remains the single-game record for field goal percentage. In addition to his All-American status, Niekamp earned two All-OAC first team honors, four All-Region accolades, and was twice named Academic All-OAC. His career culminated with a selection to play in the 2013 Reese's Division III All-Star Game. Niekamp helped lead Capital to the 2012 OAC Tournament Championship as well as to the NCAA Tournament Second Round. 

Spencer currently resides in Hilliard, Ohio, working in sales for Bowden Fence. He is married to Taylor and has a son Cameron and a daughter Leona.
