Cory Trump was a two-sport student-athlete at Capital, competing with high success in both men's soccer and men's track and field. On the soccer pitch, Trump was a member of three championship teams, winning the OAC Regular Season in both 2007 and 2008 before the team won the 2009 OAC Tournament title. The 2009 championship run resulted in the program's first NCAA Tournament Appearance. On the track and field team, Trump made his name as one of the most prolific high jumpers in school history. To this day, he holds the school record in the indoor high jump (2.05 meters) which he set at the NCAA Division III National Championships in 2009. In addition, Trump sits third all-time in school history in the outdoor high jump (2.01 meters) which he cleared at the 2011 OAC Championships. He qualified for the NCAA Championships a total of four times across his career, earning All-American honors twice with a fourth place finish in 2009 and a sixth place finish in 2011.Â
