    Women's Track & Field, Women's Cross Country
Emma McCarron accomplished nearly everything a distance runner can accomplish while at Capital in both cross country and track. On the cross country course, McCarron still holds the school records for both the 6K (21:53.93) and 5K (18:34.60). In cross country, McCarron remains the only NCAA qualifier in program history – a feat she accomplished both in 2011 and 2012. She was a two-time All-Region and three-time All-Conference runner. On the indoor track, McCarron holds the school record in the 1K, the One Mile, the 3K, and the 5K, while also sitting fourth all-time in the 800m run. In outdoor track, Emma sits atop the record books in three events – the 1,500m, the 3K steeplechase and the 5K, while also sitting fifth all-time in the 800m run. She also earned All-American honors in the steeplechase her senior year while being named the OAC's Most Outstanding Distance Runner that same year.

Emma currently resides in Mansfield, Ohio and works for Ensemble Health Partners as an AR Specialist. She would like to recognize her parents John and Denise, her sister Grace, her brother Troy and Alex and her daughter Teagan.
