Sean Kelly enters the hall of fame after an accomplished career as a defensive back for the Purple and White football program. A 1988 All-American in his senior season, Kelly was an integral member of the 1987 OAC Championship team. That team remains the only in program history to hoist the OAC trophy at season's end. During that All-American season, Kelly also earned an All-OAC first team nod and was named the OAC Lee Tressel Award winner for his efforts on the field. Kelly's abilities defensively led him to 13 career interceptions – a mark that continues to sit tied for ninth all-time in program history. Kelly also earned varsity letters in baseball and golf while at Capital.

Sean currently resides in Columbus, Ohio. He works as a Manufacturer's Representative within the golf industry. He would like to list his wife Leanne, daughters Kaelin and Katherine, son Conor and those who traveled a great distance to support him – Brian Kelly, Mike Kelly and John Vanden Brul.
