Doug DiRosario, another 2001 graduate of Capital and native of Columbus, Ohio, was the other piece of the pairing to comprise arguably the best duo to compete on a tennis court for CU. A 2001 ITA All-American in doubles alongside Matt Rutherford, DiRosario was a four-time OAC Individual Champion, as well as an NCAA Individual Qualifier. In 2000, Doug won both his singles and doubles quest at the OAC Championships. He paired with Matt Lazar to win the doubles competition that year. A season later, DiRosario paired with Rutherford and once again won the #1 doubles competition. Individually, DiRosario won the 2001 #2 singles bracket as well. Doug qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships, making the 1999 event in singles.

Much like his fellow inductee, Rutherford, Doug competed in the 2000 ITA Small College Fall Nationals Qualifiers and the ITA Central Regional Championships. At Small College Nationals, he paired with Rutherford to place eighth in doubles. At the Regional Championships, DiRosario once again paired with Rutherford to win the doubles competition before he went on to finish runner-up to Rutherford in the singles bracket.

Doug currently resides in nearby Lewis Center with his wife of nine years Alysha, his son Ethan, and his daughter Emerson. He is the Junior Director at Wickertree Tennis Club and is also the Tennis Director for Buddy Up Tennis – a non-profit organization for athletes with down syndrome. Doug mentions Capital helped him achieve his dream of working at a place he doesn't consider work, as he did his in-school internship with Wickertree Tennis Club, his current employer.
