Take the 360° Virtual Tour

The Capital Center Performance Arena arena is home to the volleyball and men's and women's basketball programs. The arena has a pair of refurbished, private hospitality suites equipped with high-definition TVs and refrigerators to provide a comfortable experience to its guests. In between the suites are a pair of booths designed for Capital and visiting broadcast teams plus a camera booth for team and Capital video streaming efforts.

Fans and guests may choose from the approximately 175 chair-back stadium seats or purple bleachers comprising the 2,100-seat venue. There are also two handicap viewing areas and a service elevator for easy transport.

On the west wall of the arena is the main scoreboard, which displays time and score and includes two side panels for supplemental game information. On the east wall is a second scoreboard that displays key game information for fans.

The arena floor was most recently redesigned and resurfaced in the winter of 2016. New portable basketball hoops were purchased in the summer of 2018 prior to Capital hosting The Basketball Tournament (TBT). The Spalding goals are the world-wide gold standard in basketball and are the same as what is used in every NBA arena and the NCAA Division I Final Four.

The Performance Center Arena is the location of Capital’s convocation ceremonies for each year’s incoming class, as well as various high school graduation ceremonies, charity basketball and volleyball tournaments, and other major campus events. It has also played host to the 2016 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball National Semifinals, a regional tournament site for the 2018 and 2019 TBT - a summer basketball tournament broadcast nationally on ESPN, and was the site chosen to host the 2020 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Final Four and 2020 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship.
