WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Capital University sophomore pitcher Alyssa Miller has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week in softball for the second time this season.

In a week that saw the Comets softball program go 3-1 overall, Miller pitched a 2-0 record with wins over Albion and Baldwin Wallace.

Miller's selection brings the Comet athletic department's total of Athletes of the Week up to 29 during the 2025-26 school year.

During the team's midweek road contest at Albion, Miller pitched 5.1 innings of shutout ball while allowing just four hits and two walks, all while striking out seven Britons in the process. On the weekend, Miller pitched the first game of a doubleheader sweep over Baldwin Wallace. In that game, Miller tossed 4.0 innings where she allowed four hits, three walks and just one run, all while striking out a career-high nine Yellow Jackets.

On the season, Miller is 5-2 overall with 54 strikeouts and a 3.41 ERA.

The Comet softball program will be back in action this week with two away non-conference doubleheaders. First, the Comets will travel to Bluffton for two games on Tuesday, March 31st before heading to Ohio Wesleyan for a pair of games on Thursday, April 2nd.
