LEXINGTON, Ky. – Capital University volleyball was announced on Monday afternoon as receiving the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT.
 
The award recognizes volleyball programs across the country who have maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. 1,450 collegiate and high school programs earned the award in 2025. 

After the 2024 season, Capital volleyball saw several student-athletes earn individual academic recognition via the CSC Academic All-District award and Academic All-Conference teams. Earning both awards were Larissa Smith, Samaree Perkins and Bryn Whitmer. Additionally, Delaney Conger and Ryann Bunyak earned Academic All-Conference from the OAC.
