Capital University

2025 Pam Briggs Classic

About the Tournament: Capital University and Otterbein University will combine to host the 2025 Pam Briggs Classic on September 5th and 6th. The schools will welcome four other schools to the Columbus area for the two-day tournament, honoring the longtime coach, Pam Briggs.

About Pam Briggs: Pam spent 22 years at the helm of the Capital University volleyball program, coaching the Purple and White to what is known as their best stretch of success in program history. Under her guidance, the program achieved their only OAC Regular Season title, their only OAC Tournament Championship, and their two NCAA Tournament appearances. Briggs was also a mentor to her players individually as she aided in the development of three All-Americans, three Academic All-Americans, five OAC Players of the Year, and dozens of All-Conference honorees. As a coach, Briggs was named a three-time OAC Coach of the Year and the 2005 AVCA Regional Coach of the Year. She has since passed away, and this tournament now serves as one of many consistent opportunities to honor her memory and impact on not only Capital Volleyball but all of the OAC and surrounding communities.

Location: The 2025 Pam Briggs Classic will be split between Capital University and Otterbein University, two OAC schools located just 20 minutes apart in the greater Columbus area. Games at Otterbein will be hosted on Friday evening and Saturday morning inside the Rike Center while Capital will host games both Friday evening and all day on Saturday at the Performance Arena at the Capital Center

Live Video: As part of the Ohio Athletic Conference's media rights partnership with FloSports and FloCollege, the Pam Briggs Classic will be streamed exclusively on the FloCollege platform. Access to all matches may be found by navigating to the OAC Flo Landing Page

Ticketing: Admission will be granted via possession of a digital ticket only at both venues. Please pay close attention to what venues your team is playing at, as tickets will not be transferable from Capital to Otterbein and vice-versa. Both venues require the purchase of online tickets and prefer those purchases be made in advance to allow for quicker and easier access to the facility.
