Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University men's tennis team fell 8-1 to visiting Mount Union on Saturday afternoon. The team celebrated their lone senior in the form of
Sam Williams who joined the team just this spring.
In the end, Cap's only win of the day came courtesy of a third-set tiebreaker from
Spencer Surles and number one singles. Surles beat Colton Mace 6-1, 0-6, 10-8 to claim the win.
Elsewhere in singles
Jackson Havel lost 6-2, 6-2;
Nicholas Wines fell 7-5, 6-1;
Alex Rowley los 6-0, 6-2; and
Sam Williams fell 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles action, the duo of
Spencer Surles and
Jackson Havel fell in the top spot 8-3.
Alex Rowley and
Nicholas Wines lost their bout 8-4.
The Comets also surrendered default points at third doubles and sixth singles to the Purple Raiders.

Capital will finish up the regular season next Saturday, April 27th with two matches at Baldwin Wallace. First the Comets will play BW before then battling Ohio Northern in a neutral location match on BW's campus.
