COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University volleyball team will host their annual Dig Pink night this coming Wednesday, October 16th as they host Marietta College at 7 p.m.
The goal of the event's festivities is to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Research. This year, senior middle hitter
Larissa Smith is spearheading the function as she also serves as the Vice President of Capital's American Cancer Society Student Chapter (ACS).
On Wednesday night, the ACS group will organize a basket raffle in The Capital Center lobby with several baskets being available for bidding. Winners for these baskets will be announced in between the second and third sets of the match.
Additionally, Capital Athletics is offering free admission to anyone who donates $10 to the American Cancer Society's cause.
Donations can be made online or in-person on Wednesday via this link. To gain free admittance to the game, fans are asked to show proof of their online donation on a cell phone or to make their donation in person. One $10 donation = one free admission ticket.
All proceeds from the raffle, admission donations and any additional donations will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society and their fight against Breast Cancer.
In addition to Dig Pink Night at the volleyball game, Capital's ACS Chapter will be hosting Breast Cancer Awareness activities throughout the week as part of their "Pink Week". More information can be found on the group's Instagram page,
