BEACHWOOD, Ohio — The Capital University women's and men's golf teams returned to action Sunday and Monday at the Jimmy Hanlin Classic, with the women finishing fifth with a two-round score of 761 and the men placing seventh with a score of 620.

Women's Golf

Paige Leyda led the Comets individually, finishing 16th with a two-round total of 181. Leyda carded a 90 in the opening round before shooting a 91 in the second round and recording two birdies.

Emma Konopa followed in 18th place with a score of 184. She opened with an 86 and finished with a 98 in the second round.

Francesca Hatheway tied for 25th with a two-round total of 194, shooting a 95 in the opening round and a 99 in the second.

Macie Mauck tied for 30th with a score of 202. She carded a 103 in the first round before improving to a 99 in the second.

Camryn Mauter rounded out Capital's lineup, finishing 35th with a two-round total of 211. Mauter shot a 110 in the opening round and improved to a 101 in the second while recording two birdies.

The women will return to action Sept. 26-27 at the OAC Fall Preview in West Lafayette, Ohio.

Men's Golf

Keegan Billingham once again led the Comets individually, placing seventh with a two-round score of 148. Billingham opened with a 76 before improving to an even-par 72 in the second round, recording five birdies.

Logan Wycoff tied for 19th with a score of 154. He carded a 78 in the opening round and followed with a 76 in the second while recording two birdies.

Tyler Caleodis tied for 30th with a two-round total of 158, shooting a 79 in both rounds.

Andreas Reider tied for 43rd with a score of 166. He shot a 79 in the first round and an 87 in the second while recording two birdies.

Nolan Frey rounded out the Capital lineup in 45th place with a score of 169. Frey opened with an 88 before improving to an 81 in the second round and recording three birdies.
