ANGOLA, Ind. - Both the women's and men's golf teams traveled to Angola, Ind. to compete in events hosted by Trine University this weekend. The women would take part in the Trine University Spring Classic, finishing in fifth place out of eight teams in the 18-hole event hosted at Glendarin Hills Golf Club. Meanwhile, the men would partake in the 36-hole A.C Eddy Spring Invitational, also taking place at Glendarin Hills, placing fourth out of nine competitors.
WOMEN
The women's team would finish with a team score of 371 (+83) in the event. Leading the way would be
Emma Konopa, firing off a 17 over round of 89. Her score would place her in a tie for 20th place.
Just one stroke behind Konopa was
Camryn Mauter and
Paige Leyda, both shooting 90 (+18), tying for 23rd place.
MEN
In their 36-hole event, the me would finish with a team score of 615 (+43).
Leading the way with a top-ten finish was
Brian Luft, who used rounds of 70, 79 to finish the tournament at seven over.
Nolan Frey would finish in 13th place, carding rounds of 72, 82 to finish with a score of 13 over.

The women will be back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 21 for their spring Battle for the Oar Match against Otterbein University at the Westchester Golf Course. The men will return to play from Apr, 24-26 for the OAC Championships in West Lafayette at the River Greens Golf Club.
