GAMBIER, Ohio – The Capital University women's tennis team opened up the spring portion of their 2025-26 season on Saturday morning as they played on the road at No. 16 ranked Kenyon College. There, Capital saw some good moments particularly in singles play, but ultimately could not keep up with the Owls who won the match 7-0.
Capital is now 4-4 overall this season, while Kenyon is now 1-0 to start the year.
DOUBLES
Kenyon took the doubles point after sweeping each of the three doubles match-ups via 6-0 scores.
Annika Hansen paired with
Stephanie Makris at the top spot,
Addison Kokensparger teamed with
Scarlett Stephens at No. 2, and
Ella McGlynn and
Jenny Rollins rounded it out in the third position.
SINGLES
Scarlett Stephens played at the top individual spot, falling to Kiara Komlodi via 6-1, 6-2 scores.
Annika Hansen dropped her No. 2 match-up to Hana Nouaime via 6-0, 6-0 scores.
Stephanie Makris fell in the third spot to Maya Stolarsky by scores of 6-0 and 6-1.
Addison Kokensparger dropped the No. 4 spot to Elizabeth Ackerman by scores of 6-0, 6-1.
Ella McGlynn lost to Sophia Carling, 6-0, 6-1 at the fifth spot.
Jenny Rollins rounded out the singles matches at the sixth spot by falling to Madeline Chappars via 6-0, 6-2 scores.

Capital will next be in action on the road at Anderson University in Pendleton, Indiana on February 21st. Service is slated for 5:30 p.m. for that match.
