WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Capital University women's soccer junior Payton Childers has been named the OAC's Offensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week. On the year, Childers' recognition brings the women's soccer total up to five weekly honorees.

This week's recognition comes on the heels of what may have been her best week of the season as Childers recorded five goals and an assist in two games. Across the two games, Capital beat Wilmington, 6-1, and Muskingum, 8-0 – both on the road.

On the road at Wilmington, Childers scored four goals and dished out an assist before she followed that up with a goal in the dominant win at Muskingum.

On the season, Childers leads the OAC with 12 goals and six assists and the Comets have out-scored their opponents 49-11 on the year.

Capital will be back on the field for one game this week as they take on Marietta College at home on Wednesday, October 21st at 7 p.m.
