ANGOLA, Ind. – The Capital University women's golf team traveled to the Trine Kickoff Classic on Tuesday afternoon to open the 2025-26 season for not just the team but all of Capital Athletics. There, the Comets put on a quality showing for their first time hitting the course this season.
As a unit, the Comets placed fifth in a field of nine teams after carding a team score of 357. The hosts, Trine, won the event with a score of 325.

Camryn Mauter was the next placer for Capital, finishing T-18th with a quality round of 87.
Comet newcomer
Paige Leyda was next for the Comets, scoring an 18-hole score of 89 to place T-22nd.
