ATLANTA, Ga. – Capital University women's basketball was announced on Tuesday afternoon as a 2025 Academic Honor Roll Special Mention team after an outstanding year both in the classroom and on the court. 

To be featured on the list, teams must have a 3.0 combined GPA and qualify for other nominating criteria set forth by the WBCA. The Comets finished the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.557 GPA to be featured on the list. 

At season's end, Capital featured nine student-athletes on Academic All-Conference in the form of Tahirah Ellis, Jenna Horsley, Laney Murphy, Bri O'Connor, Samaree Perkins, Olivia Rouser, Kendall Spreen, Kenzie Weiland and Maddi Weiland. Additionally, Murphy, O'Connor, Perkins and Maddi Weiland also earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
