Seven Comets Named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday afternoon, Capital University saw seven student-athletes announced as receiving At-Large Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators for their work on the field and in the classroom this season.

The at-large category represents numerous sports, but specifically for Capital it honors golf and lacrosse. Representing the golf programs were seniors Adam Murphy and Ryan Murphy as well as sophomore Camryn Mauter. The honorees from women's lacrosse were graduate student Avery Hart, senior Grace Osborn, and juniors Holly Stoner and Brenna Todd.

To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be at least of sophomore academic and athletic standing, must have at least a 3.50 GPA cumulative GPA (not-rounded), and must meet other high athletic standards.

Of those featured on the list, Osborn has been advanced to the national ballot to be voted on for Academic All-America honors. A first, second and third team Academic All-America will be released on July 8th once national voting has been compiled.
