ADA, Ohio – The four-seed Capital University women's tennis team saw their season come to a close on Saturday in the first round of the OAC Tournament with a 4-0 loss to top-seeded Ohio Northern.
DOUBLES
Jenny Rollins and
Ashlyn Edwards as well as
Anna Fletcher and
Nicole Flock would see their matches to completion, losing 1-6 and 2-6 respectively.
Annika Hansen and
Kylee Fliter were behind 2-5 when the doubles session ended due to Ohio Northern securing the two wins necessary to take the point.
SINGLES
Three matches were completed in the singles session, all of which went to ONU to give the Polar Bears the overall match, 4-0. Edwards was on the wrong end of an 0-6, 2-6 result, Rollins lost 0-6, 1-6, and Fliter suffered an 0-6, 0-6 sweep. The remaining three matches went unfinished with Hansen down 1-6, 1-5, Flock down 2-6, 0-1, and Fletcher down 0-6, 0-4.
