RICHMOND, Ind. – The Capital University women's tennis team ventured to Earlham College on Saturday afternoon where they upended the host Quakers by a final score of 5-2, extending their current unbeaten run to three matches.
The Comets are now 6-3 overall in 2024-25.
Capital was able to secure the doubles point, winning at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to move ahead 1-0 before singles play.
Annika Hansen and
Kylee Fliter won at the second spot by a score of 7-5, while
Jenny Rollins and
Ashlyn Edwards won at the third spot 6-1.
Anna Fletcher and
Nicole Flock fell at No. 1 doubles by a 6-2 scoreline.
In singles play, Earlham was able to take two match-ups at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, but the Comets took the rest of the match-ups, claiming the eventual 5-2 win.
At No. 2 singles,
Nicole Flock defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-1, while
Annika Hansen won No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-4. Continuing the winning ways were
Jenny Rollins at No. 5 (6-1, 6-2) and
Ashlyn Edwards at No. 6 (6-2, 6-2).
Anna Fletcher was defeated at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2, while
Kylee Fliter dropped the No. 4 match-up 6-2, 6-0.

Capital will now turn their attention to the conference portion of the season as the Comets will travel to Otterbein University on Saturday, March 29th for a 1 p.m. start time.
