WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference announced on Friday morning that Capital University men's basketball players
McKane Finkenbine and
Justin Nixon have been selected to the All-Conference teams for their work on the court in 2024-25.
Finkenbine was selected to the All-OAC Second Team, while Nixon was an Honorable Mention selection. Both awards are first time postseason accolades for the pair of Comets. With two selections this season, that marks two seasons in a row in which two Comets have been named to the All-Conference teams.
Finkenbine was an instrumental piece to the Comets' offense all season long as he finished second on the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game, while also adding 2.7 rebounds per contest, 4.5 assists per game and 1.4 steals per game. He also picked up OAC Player of the Week honors earlier in the year, marking the first such selection for Capital since 2019. Finkenbine now sits at 692 career points with 209 rebounds and 238 assists.
Nixon was Capital's leading scorer and rebounder this season, finishing the year with 13.5 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per contest. Additionally, Nixon chipped in 2.0 assists per game, 1.3 steals per contest and 1.2 blocks per game. He also led the team in field goal percentage, converting 56.3% of his shot attempts. Nixon ended his career with 732 points, 448 rebounds, 111 assists, 75 steals and 74 blocks.
Capital men's basketball finished the 2024-25 season with a 10-15 record overall with an OAC mark of 7-11.
