WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Capital University cross country program, both men's and women's, recorded historic finishes at the 2025 OAC Championships on Saturday. The women placed sixth of nine teams, which matches the program's best ever finish, while the men placed fifth of nine teams, which is the team's highest finish since 1964.

On the men's side, Capital was fifth, while Otterbein edged Mount Union for the top spot.

For the women, Capital was sixth, while Ohio Northern took the championship.

Individually, Mikey Arnone and Chip Smith led the men's team as both runners placed in the top-20, good enough to earn All-OAC placement. This season marked the first time since 1968 in which multiple Comets recorded All-OAC finishes at the same Championships.

On the women's side the top-five finishers were all freshmen, led by Faith Michel and Laney Tarr
