Cross Country Races at Oberlin Inter-Region Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Capital University cross country program traveled to the Oberlin Inter-Region Rumble on Saturday where they performed well across the board. The Comet men placed 12th of 26 teams in the varsity race, while the women finished 17th of 25 teams in the varsity race. 

WOMEN
Laney Tarr led the Comets with a 58th place finish after clocking a time of 24:20.40. The time was a new PR and solidified her spot as the 15th fastest time in program history. 

Faith Michel was the next Comet to finish as she placed 70th overall with a time of 24:30.60. 

Shelby Janes placed 124th overall in the race after clocking a time of 25:21.90. 

Alex Wilkinson was the next Comet to finish, placing 147th with a time of 25:48.40. The time was good enough to set her 18th all-time in Capital history. 

Catherine Schaub was next for Capital, placing 156th with a time of 25:55.70. 

Jenavieve Vasquez rounded out the varsity showing with a time of 29:44.0, good for 204th. 

MEN
Mikey Arnone was the top Comet in the race, placing 32nd overall with a time of 26:26.10. 

Chip Smith was next for the Purple and White with a time of 26:43.20 which was good enough for a 51st place finish in the race. The time does set Smith 18th overall in program history in the 8K discipline. 

Kolin Brake and Zach Glotzbecker came across the line as a pair with Brake placing 73rd with a time of 27:02.60 and Glotzbecker finishing 74th with a time of 27:02.70. 

Dimetrius Floyd was the next Comet to finish with a time of 28:10.20, placing 142nd. 

Braydon Nix placed 154th with a time of 28:26.60. 

Aiden Mahony was next with a time of 28:48.40 which placed him 176th. 

Aaron McNutt was next for Capital, placing 192nd in a time of 29:14.0. 

Jordan Hull clocked a time of 31:17.90 in the open race as well for the Comets. 

UP NEXT
The Comets will next be in action on November 1st as they compete at the OAC Championships in nearby Westerville, Ohio.
