SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Capital University golf teams were in action on Sunday and Monday at the JCU Fall Classic at Shaker Heights Country Club. The men would finish eighth in their nine-team field with a 638 while the women finished ninth in their nine-team field with an 821.

Cam Donahue led the Comets with a 78 on day one, followed by a 79 on day two to total 157 and finish tied for 18th place.
Keegan Billingham came in with an 80-81 to tally 161 and finish tied for 30th.
Cole Crandall and Aidan Issac both tied for 37th at 164. Crandall did it with an 84-80 and Isaac inversed that with an 80-84.
Nolan Frey finished 41st, shooting 84-82 to total 166.
WOMEN | R1: 413 | R2: 408 | TOTAL: 821 | 9TH PLACE
Emma Konopa led Cap with a 22nd place finish, shooting 87 in round one and 91 in round two to total 178.
Camryn Mauter came next with a 98-103 to finish 33rd at 201.
Reese King scored a 217 after shooting 117-100, placing 37th.
Hannah Combs shot 111-114 to tally 225 and finish 41st. Finally, Abigail Crisler tied for 42nd at 241, shooting 117-124.
UP NEXT
The next tournament for both teams will be their respective OAC Fall Previews. The women will play September 28th and 29th while the men are in action on October 5th and 6th. Both tournaments will take place at River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette.
