WESTERVILLE, Ohio. – On Monday afternoon, Capital University senior outfielder
Cade Anderson was named the Ohio Athletic Conference's baseball hitter of the week after an outstanding week that saw him collect 13 hits on 16 at-bats.
Anderson's out-put this week for the Comet baseball program produced an .813 batting average in five games and also included an .850 on-base percentage and a .938 slugging percentage.
To go with Anderson's 13-for-16 showing at the plate, he also reached base safely an additional four times via two walks and two hit by pitches. His efforts also yielded five RBIs and four runs scored. In the team's five games this week, Anderson went a perfect 4-for-4 twice and 3-for-3 once.
The award is Anderson's first of his career and the first athlete of the week honor for Capital baseball since the 2019 season.
