WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Ohio Athletic Conference announced on Monday the Spring 2026 Academic All-OAC recipients. Featured on this year's list were 36 Capital University student-athletes.
To be eligible for Academic All-Conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.495 or higher, be of varsity status, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and may not receive the award more than three times in one sport among other criteria.
Of the 36 spring student-athletes selected, baseball leads the way with the most honorees (8), while softball (7), women's track & field (4), men's track & field (4), men's lacrosse (4), women's golf (3), men's golf (2), women's lacrosse (2), and women's tennis (2) round out the selections.
Receiving the award for baseball are seniors
Robby Harrison** and
Diego Astacio, juniors
Michael Andryszczyk*,
Jonathan Mitchner*, and
Drew Pfundt*, and sophomores
Trent Clark,
Andy Gill, and
Nathan Budill.
Representing the softball team are seniors
Emma Sweetman** and
Autumn Bridges**, junior
Megan Parry, and sophomores
Shelby Allen,
Isabel Sayre,
Morgan Priest, and
Ryanne Wilson.
Earning the award with women's track & field would be senior Josey Johnson, junior Catherine Schaub*, and sophomores Claire Robinson and Jaleea Harvey.
Taking home the honor for men's track & field are juniors Aiden Mahony* and Chip Smith, and sophomores Gunnar Yates* and Jordan Hull.
Making up the four from men's lacrosse were juniors
Aaron Waltman* and
Ian Zaletel*, and sophomores
Preston Garibay and
Evan Legner.
The three recipients from women's golf are juniors
Michaela Skarkova,
Emma Konopa, and
Camryn Mauter*.
Men's golf was represented by sophomores
Logan Wycoff and
Brian Luft.
The two honorees from women's lacrosse were senior
Holly Stoner**, and junior
Brooke Burchfield.
Finally, women's tennis saw senior
Ella McGlynn and junior
Annika Hansen* earn the award.
