OAC RELEASE
WESTERVILLE, Ohio – On Thursday, February 23rd, the Ohio Athletic Conference announced the 2022-23 All-Conference teams for men's basketball. Voted to the honorable mention list for Capital University was sophomore guard
Carter Combs.
Combs, who missed his true sophomore season through injury, picked up his third conference accolade of his career. As a freshman, Combs was also selected honorable mention and named the OAC Freshman of the Year.
This year, Capital finished with a 12-14 record overall which included an 8-10 mark in the conference. They qualified for the OAC Tournament where they were ousted in the quarterfinals by Heidelberg this past Tuesday.
On the season, Combs led the Comets with 11.0 points per game while shooting 40.2% from the floor. He also finished with 3.8 rebounds per contest and 3.2 assists per game. His 3.2 assists per game was good enough to finish tied for third in the OAC this season. Defensively, he added 22 steals as well.
