Logan White Selected as All-OAC Honorable Mention

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the second consecutive season, Capital University's Logan White has been named All-OAC Honorable Mention by the Ohio Athletic Conference's coaches.

A 2021 Honorable Mention honoree as well, White led Capital in multiple offensive categories this season, leading to his second postseason award of his career. 

In 39 games this year, White hit .363 on 53 hits which included 11 doubles, one triple and three home runs. His batting average, number of hits, and number of doubles were all team-leading marks. He was tied for the team lead in triples and was second in homers. 

Additionally, White was responsible for team-highs in RBIs with 42 and runs scored with 33. His slugging percentage was a team-best .514 and his on-base percentage was .435, good for second on the team. White drew 18 walks on the year and was hit by three pitches as well to help his on-base efforts. On the basepaths, he was third on the team with five stolen bases. 

In the field, White was the second busiest Comet in the field, behind first baseman Brendan Stinson. Playing as a shortstop this season, White put together a fielding percentage of .892 and was part of 12 double plays on 203 contacts.

White helped lead the Comets to an improved overall record of 10-29 and two OAC wins – one each over Muskingum and Ohio Northern.
