Five Track and Field Members Compete at All-Ohio Championships

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – A grouping of five Capital University track and field members competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday afternoon, with all five putting in solid performances. 

Below is a summary of the Capital performances:
Men's 60 Meter Hurdles: Kelly Wilson II qualified for the finals after a prelims time of 8.72 seconds. In the finals, Wilson II improved slightly to a 8.68 second time, good for seventh overall. Wilson's time was just .08 seconds off his school record time in the event. 

Men's Long Jump: Daniel Hiser and Andy Fullmer competed in the event, finishing seventh and 12th overall. Hiser recorded his best jump of 6.54 meters, while Fullmer's furthest leap registered 6.08 meters. 

Men's Pole Vault: Zion Park placed fifth overall with his best vault coming at the height of 4.29 meters. The mark was just .07 meters off his previous best. 

Women's Weight Throw: Alexa Poling competed in the weight, with her best throw coming on her first attempt, placing her 13th overall. Her furthest throw registered 13.12 meters.
