COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Capital University women's tennis team began their season with a dominating 9-0 win in their first match against Miami-Middletown. 
The visitors competed with just three players, but competed at all six singles spots to give the Capital players a chance to play. 
Anna Fletcher, 
Nicole Flock, 
Abigail Hornacek, and 
Josie Nichols all won their singles matches by 6-0 scores. 
Karen Kanke and 
Kylee Fliter both won their singles matches by scores of 6-1. 
At the lone doubles match of the day, 
Maria Pickerill and 
Rachel Smith defeated the Miami-Middletown team by a margin of 6-4. 
Capital now sits at 1-0 in their fall season and will look to continue the strong play next Friday at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.
