COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to first-place Ohio Northern University on Wednesday afternoon in its final home match of the regular season.

Cap (7-9, 3-4 OAC) was treated to a home outdoor match at Whetstone Park of Roses, where Elizabeth Sadek (Cairo, Egypt/Dublin Coffman) emerged with the Crusaders' sole victory. It came in singles play in the third flight match where she defeated Kaleigh Cummins in three sets. Sadek took the first set, 6-4, but Cummins leveled the match with a 6-2 second set win. In the tiebreaker, Sadek battled and outlasted Cummins with a 10-8 victory to clinch Cap's lone point.

Her sister, Maria Sadek, came out on the opposite end of a three-set bout with Olivia Schrager at two doubles. Schrager took the first set, 6-4, but Sadek came back to overtake the second set, 6-1. In the third, Schrager pulled away with a 10-7 win to claim the point.

Ohio Northern (18-4, 6-0 OAC) took all three doubles matches by wide margins and the remaining four singles matches in straight sets.
