Crusaders Fall in Spring Opener at Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Capital University women's tennis team was downed by Ohio Wesleyan University, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders opened their spring season this weekend and now have a 0-3 overall record for the entire season.

In a shortened match, Capital dropped all its single matches and both doubles matches, those in straight sets. Newcomer Ellie Repeko made her debut in the lineup today, serving as Capital's No. 4 in singles play and competing on the second-flight doubles team.

Olivia Moore (West Chester, Ohio) served as Repeko's doubles partner, but also put up the best fight in singles play. The freshman lost to Keisha Cummings, 8-4, in the third singles match of the day.

Capital's next match will be against Albion College (Mich.) to open their home schedule. That match will be on Sunday, March 20 at 11 a.m.
