Wabash results | Hanover results
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Capital Men's Tennis had an early and busy day with two matches on Saturday morning. The Crusaders split those two matches with an 8-1 loss to Wabash College, but followed that with an 8-1 win against Hanover College at the Collett Tennis Center.
Wabash set the tone by sweeping through doubles play, which led into the Little Giants taking five of six singles matches, as well. Capital's lone singles victory came by way of Luke Buchanan's 6-3, 6-2 win over Daniel Delgado in the top-flight singles match.
Capital turned the tide of its day with a great rebound win over Hanover College, 8-1. Buchanan added his second and third wins of the day by earned victories in the top-flight singles and doubles matches. He paired with Dale Booher and defeated Nolan Carrico and Reid Clark, 8-3. In his singles win, Buchanan downed Brian Clark, 6-4, 6-1.
The Crusaders rolled through the singles lineup, obtaining wins from Kenny Duncan, Jesse Faulkner, Gian Carlo DiMichaelangelo, and Santino DiMichaelangelo in the No. 3 through 6 spots of the lineup.
Capital is now 5-3 overall and has won two of its last three matches heading into Ohio Athletic Conference play. They will open the OAC slate by hosting rival Otterbein University on Wednesday, March 25 with the team's beginning play at 3:30 p.m.
