GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday afternoon, five Capital University softball players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams for their combined work in the classroom and on the field this past season. 

Representing the program are senior Autumn Bridges, junior Megan Parry, and sophomores Ryanne Wilson, Isabel Sayre and Shelby Allen. Of those featured on the list, Bridges is now a three-time recipient of the award, while Parry, Wilson, Sayre and Allen are all first-time recipients. 

To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be at least of sophomore academic and athletic standing, must have at least a 3.50 GPA cumulative GPA (not-rounded), and meet other high athletic standards. 

The Comets' softball program recently concluded the 2026 season with an OAC Tournament Championship, an NCAA Tournament appearance and their first 20+ win season since 2017.
