Four From Softball Selected to CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday afternoon, four Capital University softball players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams for their combined work in the classroom and on the field this season. 

Representing the program are senior Kelcie Schnitzler, juniors Autumn Bridges and Emma Sweetman, and sophomore McKenzie Kennedy. Bridges and Sweetman are both repeat honorees, while Schnitzler and Kennedy are first-time winners. 

To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be at least of sophomore academic and athletic standing, must have at least a 3.50 GPA cumulative GPA (not-rounded), and must meet other high athletic standards. 

Of those featured on this list, Bridges has been advanced to the national ballot to be voted on for Academic All-America honors. A first, second and third team Academic All-America will be released on June 17th once national voting has been compiled.
