HEBRON, Ky. - Both Capital University golf teams were back in action on Monday, Nov. 3 for the final event of their fall season. Competing in the Polar Bear Classic, hosted by Ohio Northern at the Traditions Golf Club, the women would finish in fourth in a field of five while the men finished in fifth in a field of 12. With the event being 18-holes, the women would finish with a team score of 84 over while the men finished with a score of 39 over.
The top finisher for the women would be
Emma Konopa. The junior would finish with a score of 86 (+14), finishing in fourth place. This is Konopa's second top-five finish of the fall season.
Following closely was
Paige Leyda, who fired off a 90 (+18). Finishing in tie for ninth, this is the first career top-ten finish for the freshman.
Leading the way for the men was
Keegan Billingham, who recorded two birdies to finish with a score of 77 (+5). After finishing in a tie for fourth, the junior now has three top-ten finishes on the year.
