PORT CLINTON, Ohio - The Capital University men's golf team competed at the NCAA Region V preview, held at Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton. This 36-hole event took place on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 20-21. The par 72 course was set for play at 6,772 yards. Following the two rounds of play, the Comets would finish in 8th in the field of 11.
Keegan Billingham led the way for the Comets, finishing in a tie for 18th and finishing with a score of 15 over. The junior would record a 80 (+8) over on day one before finishing play with a 79 (+7) on day two.
Brian Luft,
Andreas Reider, and
Tyler Caleodis would all finish at 18 over, placing them in a tie for 25th. It would be Luft finishing with the low round of the tournament for Capital, who shot a 76 (+4) in round one.
Also competing for the Comets were
Nolan Frey and
Harrison Labahn, who both finished at 28 over.
UP NEXT
The Comets will be back in action on Monday, Nov. 3 when they travel to Kentucky to compete in the Polar Bear Classic. The event, hosted at Traditions Golf Club, will mark the end of the fall season.
