COLUMBUS, Ohio – Director of Athletics and Recreation Dr. Darrell Bailey Sr. has announced the resignations of Head Cross Country & Track and Field Coach
BT Pham and Assistant Cross Country & Track and Field Coach
Breanna Clayton.
"We'd like to thank Coach Pham and Coach Clayton for their time with Capital cross country & track and field and the progress made under their leadership," said Dr. Bailey. "We wish them well in their future endeavors."
Coach Pham took over both programs in May of 2021 and oversaw the teams for three seasons. During that time, Pham coached
Dom Glenn to the 2024 NCAA Indoor National Championships and coached two individual OAC Champions. In addition, Pham coached 22 All-OAC and 10 All-Region student-athletes.
Coach Clayton joined the coaching staff in June of 2022 and served as the lead distance coach for two seasons. During her tenure overseeing the distance group, Clayton helped mentor
Donovan Slattery to break a 48-year old in the men's 8,000-meter cross country race. In addition, Slattery became Capital's first All-OAC finisher in cross country in 25 years.
The duo was recognized as the 2023 OAC Indoor Track and Field Women's Coaching Staff of the Year.
The search for the next cross country and track and field coaching staff will begin immediately. Interested candidates should reach out to
Dr. Darrell Bailey Sr. for more information.
