CHARDON, Ohio – The Capital University men's golf team hit the links on Sunday and Monday at the Dan Caschera Classic hosted by John Carroll. The Comets finished fifth in the 13-team field, shooting 312 on day one and 313 on day two to finish with a 625.
Ben Satterthwaite paced CU on Sunday with a 73, followed by
Nolan Frey at 79.
Jack Curtis and
Ricky Walsh would both shoot 80 to complete the scorecard for the day at 312.
Keegan Billingham made an 81 in his first round.
Curtis dropped three strokes on his second round to lead the team at 77, finishing at T-20th overall with a 157. Satterthwaite and Walsh would come in next, both with 78s on the day. Satterthwaite placed T-4th at 151 while Walsh finished T-25th at 158. Frey would finish T-27th with an 80 to total 159, also wrapping up the team score at 313 for the day and 625 overall. Billingham placed 50th overall at 165 after an 84 on day two.
