Nate Younker and
Tyler Terrell were selected as All-OAC Honorable Mention recipients for their contributions during the 2024 season.
During the season, Younker – who was an honorable mention selection last year as well – led the Comets with 563 receiving yards as well as team bests in catches (38) and receiving touchdowns (5). Younker also threw for one touchdown – a 65-yard play that was the Comets' longest of the season. Additionally, this year, Younker took 17 kick returns for a combined 393 yards. In his career Nate has 1,223 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 72 catches.
Tyler Terrell had a solid senior campaign as the kicker and punter, earning his first career postseason accolade. As a punter, Terrell sent 43 boots for an average of 41.37 yards, which was highlighted by a 63-yarder – the 5th longest punt in program history. As the kicker, Terrell was solid for much of the year, connecting on 5-of-6 field goals, including a long of 35. He was also true on 23 PAT attempts. On kickoffs, Terrell sent 37 kickoffs for a 52.6-yard average. In his career, Terrell nailed 14 field goals and 73 PATs, while averaging 38.8 yards per punt.
The Comets finished the year on a high-note with a resounding 50-31 win over Wilmington – a game in which the Comets scored 50 points for the first time since 2018.
