GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday afternoon, six Capital University football players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams for their combined work in the classroom and on the field this season.
Representing the program are juniors
Cyrus Burden and
Nate Younker and sophomores
Jake Fitzpatrick,
Finn Devine,
Trent Renz, and
Bryson Roberts. All six are first-time recipients of the award.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be at least of sophomore academic and athletic standing, must have at least a 3.50 GPA cumulative GPA (not-rounded), and meet other high athletic standards.
Of those featured on this list, Fitzpatrick, Younker and Burden have been advanced to the national ballot within their respective position groups to be voted on for Academic All-America honors. A first, second and third team Academic All-America will be released on January 28th once national voting has been compiled.
