KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Capital University golf teams took part in their last tournament of the fall on Monday, heading up to Michigan for the Kalamazoo Fall Classic. The men would finish one stroke out of taking the team title, headlined by a medalist finish for
Ricky Walsh and a top-three mark for
Keegan Billingham.
MEN | 310 | SECOND PLACE
The Comets secured the second place finish led of course by medalist
Ricky Walsh with a 73 and
Keegan Billingham at T-3rd with a 75.
Cole Crandall and
Cam Donahue would come next at T-18th and T-26th at 80 and 82 respectively to finish out the team score at 310, just one away from first-place finishers Alma at 309.
Nolan Frey finished T-32nd with an 84.
WOMEN | 369 | FIFTH PLACE
The Purple and White women would finish fifth in their seven-team field, led by a fourth place finish from
Emma Konopa shooting 83.
Camryn Mauter and
Reese King came next, both T-20th at 93. Finally,
Abby Crisler shot 100 to finish off the scorecard at 369.
