COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Competing amongst a field loaded with some of the fastest Division I athletes in the country at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic, Capital University track and field runner,
Daniel McCormack held his own and recorded his first sub-50 second 400m dash of his career.
McCormack ran the 400m dash and finished 14th overall as the only Division III runner in the field. His time of 49.65 seconds is a new personal best and moves him into eighth all-time in Capital's history for the event.
McCormack and the rest of his team will now prepare for the Ashland Alumni Open as their final tune-up for the OAC Championships.
