Men’s Golf Takes Third at JCU Fall Invite

CHARDON, Ohio – The Capital University men's golf team hit the course for a third straight day on Monday, this time taking part in the JCU Fall Invitational at Sandridge Country Club. The Comets would take third place in the nine-team field, only John Carroll (299) and Otterbein (299) lay ahead.

Ben Satterthwaite led the way shooting a 75 for the 18 holes. Next was Jack Curtis with a 77. Keegan Billingham also shot in the 70s at 79. Ryan Murphy finalized the team score with an 82. Adam Murphy finished with an 84.

QUOTE FROM COACH GARCIA
"We just didn't have it this weekend and that's golf. We had some bright spots in the lineup with Ben, Jack, and Keegan and I'm proud of all three for stepping up. We've had a lot of close finishes this year and we have to remind ourselves of that after a hard few days. Can't wait to see what we do in the rivalry match and at Notre Dame here in a few weeks"

UP NEXT
The Comets will be back on the course on October 21st to take on Otterbein in the fall edition of their rivalry match play. Tee time is set for noon at Northstar Golf Club in Sunbury.
