GREENSBORO, N.C. – On Saturday afternoon, senior
Josh Miller is set to compete at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Capital University thrower qualified for the National Championships in the shot put with a mark of 17.22 meters -- a Capital school record. Miller is seeded fifth in the finals which are slated to take place on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. He will be in flight two, looking to earn his first career outdoor All-American honors among a field of fierce competition.
The USTFCCCA recently selected Miller as the Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year on Tuesday, May 25th. Miller won 18 points at the OAC Conference Championships by winning the shot put with his launch of 17.22 meters. He was also the runner-up in the hammer throw. Throughout the season, Miller has been undefeated in his competitions in the shot put and a consistent top performer in the hammer throw.
