COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital women's track & field team was out in full force at the OAC Indoor Championships hosted by Otterbein University. All 10 conference teams were ready to compete with John Carroll claiming the conference crown with 210 points. Capital finished in 10th with five points behind Muskingum (13 points) and Heidelberg (15 points).
 

• Sophomore Alexa Poling scored the first points of the day for the Crusaders, trotting out and turning in her best toss in the weight throw at 14.30-meters (46-11) to set a new personal record and place sixth. Poling also placed ninth in the shot put, heaving the rock 11.23-meters (36-10 ¼) on her first and second attempts.
• Sophomore Eva Bernhardt earned the other points finish for Capital, clocking 6:09.55 in the one mile run to finish seventh. Bernhardt also competed in the 1,000 meter run, coming in 13th with a time of 3:39.21.
• Freshman Hanna Bauer set a personal record in the 400-meter dash at 1:07.73.
• Freshman Kaya Milby clocked 8.84 in the 60-meter dash to set a new personal best and finish 13th.
• Freshman Anya Vanasdale competed in the 800 meter run, finishing 11th at 2:38.45, and 5,000 meter run where she clocked 19:37.74 to finish 15th.
• Sophomore Bella McCarty competed in the pole vault, leaping 2.47-meters (8-1 1/4) which placed her 18th.
• Sophomore Makayla Noble and freshman Grace Heckenlively competed in the shot put, turning in throws of 9.71-meters (31-10 ¼) and 8.69-meters (29-04 ¾) to finish 22nd and 24th respectively. Noble also competed in the weight throw but was unable to record a throw.

The team has three weeks off before the outdoor season begins and they head right back over to Otterbein on March 27th.
