Capital (20-6) was led by a trio of double-digit point scorers including senior guard Jenna Erwin (Springfield, Ohio) who led the team with 18 points. Joining her in double figures were fellow senior Nina Napolitano (Akron, Ohio) and sophomore Annika Wachtman (Upper Arlington, Ohio), who scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Carrying a four-point lead into the fourth quarter, Capital increased its pressure on the Wilmington defense, inducing a total of 12 personal fouls. Their aggressive play led to 19 trips to the free throw line, where the Crusaders landed 14 shots (.737). Napolitano went a perfect 8-for-8 from the line to help account for her 12 points. She also added six rebounds, which tied for the team high with junior Colleen Fondessy (Fostoria, Ohio). Fondessy also added eight points and hit 2-of-3 triples on the night.
Wachtman had one of her most complete games on the floor, adding five rebounds, two steals and an assist to her total of 10 points. This marks the second time in four games the sophomore scored 10 or more points.

The duo put forth 44 of the Quakers' 64 points and no other player scored more than six points. Jefferson led all players with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Campbell was one rebound short of a double-double, putting together 19 points and nine rebounds.
