COLUMBUS, Ohio – Samaree Perkins has added yet another accolade to her already lengthy list from the 2025-26 women's basketball season as the Capital senior forward has been named a Fourth Team All-American by D3hoops.com. 

Perkins was also recently named WBCA All-America Honorable Mention as well. In the history of the women's basketball program at Capital, this marks just the sixth time a player has earned All-America distinction from multiple outlets in the same season. 

Perkins' award comes on the heels of a dominant senior campaign that saw her finish the season averaging 20.0 points per game and 12.0 rebounds per contest – both of which led the OAC. Perkins also notably moved into fourth all-time in Capital history in career scoring and second all-time in program history in career rebounding. She also became just the third player in program history to compile a season of 500+ points and 300+ rebounds in the same year. 

Perkins just completed her final action in a Capital jersey as she represented the program at the WBCA Senior All-Star Game in Salem, Virginia this past Saturday. 

This postseason, Perkins collected OAC Player of the Year, All-OAC First Team, D3hoops.com All-Region First Team, WBCA All-America Honorable Mention, D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-America, Jostens Trophy Finalist, and WBCA Senior All-Star accolades.
