Dover, Ohio – The Capital University men's golf team opened up the 2026-27 season with a third place finish at Wooster's Gatorade Collegiate. The Comets shot a two-round score of 588 to take third overall. Capital opened with a round one score of 298 before lowering their day two total by eight strokes to finish with a 290. Mount Aloysius won the event with a score of 580.
Capital was led individually by
Keegan Billingham who finished one stroke under par with a 143. He was even par at 72 on day one before carding a 71 on the second round. Billingham was tied for fifth in the final standings.
Andreas Reider was next for Capital, placing tied for seventh, just one stroke back of his teammate Billingham. Reider scored two consistent rounds of 72 to score 144 on the weekend.
Nolan Frey was next for the Comets as he scored a two-day total of 149, made up of rounds of 75 and 74. He was tied for 23rd on the leaderboard.
Rounding out the team scoring was
Logan Wycoff who placed tied for 41st with a total of 154. He shot rounds of 81 and 73.
Tyler Caleodis was the final Comet to compete, scoring a 157 made up of two consistent rounds of 79 and 78. He was tied for 48th on the leaderboard.
