WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Capital University men's golfer
Keegan Billingham has been named the OAC Golfer of the Week for the second time this fall.
This is the third Capital golf weekly award of the fall semester as Billingham has earned the honor twice and Emma Konopa earned the award once for the women.
The award comes on the heels of Billingham's second medalist honor of the fall season as he won the individual title at the Battle at Belterra this weekend. His individual performance helped guide Capital to the win as a team, scoring 584 over two rounds, including a school record tying 282 to open the first round. Billingham himself opened the first round with a four-under par score of 67 before bringing his two-day total even to par with a day two score of 75 amidst heavy fog. His two day total marked 142.
Bilingham and the Capital golf program will be on hiatus for the winter months before returning to competition in March.
